The Power Tubes & Systems Business Unit engineering team provides engineering resources to support major product development projects, from design leadership through to engineering build. In addition, the team provides design authority for the existing product portfolio, both in new and old applications and throughout the product lifecycle.
Based at our Client’s office in Essex, this role covers the all aspects of the performance evaluation during new product introduction including commissioning & applications support at customer sites.

Accountabilities:
● Identification and selection of appropriate test methodologies to ensure robust verification of new products.
● Develops and executes novel development test activities to establish suitability of process.
● Defines, costs & sources development test equipment and external compliance testing requirements from understanding of product test requirements.
● Identification and understanding of complex patterns in development test data and influence of device performance.
● Satisfies customer through timely commissioning of new devices as part of specific project.
● Provision of effective (accurate & timely) product performance feedback to project teams and customers.
● Review of product design to ensure suitability for testing (design for test) and development of appropriate test documentation.
● Identification of opportunities for automation of development and or production test through the development phase.
● Organises and contribute to robust safety & risk assessments.
Required Technical Skills:
● Skilled in test and measurement and mechanical engineering fundamentals.
● Familiar with HV engineering, systems engineering, pulse power circuits and applications.
● Aware of analogues and digital electronics and design for manufacturing.
Key Skills / Experience:
Use of electrical, thermal, microwave test and measurement equipment, knowledge of basic microwave principles, hot test experience (performance evaluation), commissioning of test equipments, EMC/EMI testing, environmental testing.
Salary/Rate:
£26k – 30k depending on skills and experience.
