Qualifications:
Educated to degree level or equivalent experience and have a working knowledge of engineering disciplines.
Position Description:
● Interpret package space requirements and find creative deliverable design solutions.
● Owns and reports out project deliverables and provides an escalation route within SST and programme.
● Facilitates problem resolution and champions SST owned AIMs.
● Represents SST to program and attribute teams (attends PAT meetings).
● Coordinates and records progress through Sub-Module meetings.
Skills Required:
● Must be a good team player with the ability to manage a small team of engineers - demonstrable leadership skills are essential.
● Must have good verbal and written communication skills to report technical issues across all levels.
● Must have the ability to manage complex issues is essential to balance the conflicting needs of the business within project timing constraints.
● Must demonstrate proactive delivery and commitment to meeting deadlines.
● Must have a working knowledge of engineering disciplines and understand and use key delivery systems (eFDVS, WERS, AIMS, GPDS etc.).
● Must be flexible with regard to multiple site working and be prepared to travel overseas if required.
Automotive design, project management, supplier management and package experience within the following areas:
● Damper/Shock absorber Modules, Road springs, Stabiliser Bars assemblies, Air suspension systems, Active Roll control systems.
● Above with Production design / manufacturing knowledge VIS + / DIGI Buck (working knowledge) Microsoft savvy (excel, PowerPoint) - able to manipulate / present data in tabular form for presentation purposes and disseminate / communicate design solutions to others.
Experience Required:
● Must have a working knowledge of engineering disciplines, with a demonstrable in depth knowledge of the relevant chassis systems and components.
● Self motivated, able to work independently with minimal instruction or guidance.
● Able to report out on design solutions / blockers.
Additional Information:
Must be willing to travel between Client Sites - Whitley/Gaydon.
Basic Hours:
37 hours per week
Limited Company Hourly Rate:
£22.23ph
