Qualifications:
Applicants should preferably be educated to degree level in Mechanical, Electronic or Automotive Engineering and have extensive relevant calibration experience.

Position Description:
Diesel Calibration Engineer

Skills Required:

• Calibration of the EMS to meet performance, fuel economy, OBD, driveability objectives and control the exhaust emissions as demanded by specific markets.
• Detailed knowledge of the diesel combustion process and calibration methodology including DOE approach to optimisation as well as an in depth understanding of turbocharging, fuel injection systems coupled with a detailed software knowledge is also required.

Skills Preferred:

• In addition to excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to undertake complex problem resolution across a multi disciplined spectrum.
  
• A specific knowledge of one of the following systems will be desirable:
  

• Applicants should have excellent computer skills able to use PC-based tools to influence / interrogate the powertrain control system.
  

Experience Required:
The candidate should have extensive relevant calibration experience.

Experience Preferred:
In addition to being self-motivated, applicants should have excellent interpersonal skills and be willing to travel to support environmental tests.

Additional Information:
Must be willing to travel between Client sites primarily Gaydon & Whitley

Hours:
37 hours per week

Ltd Co Hourly Rate:
£27.72
