Qualifications:
Degree level qualification in mechanical engineering, chemistry, chemical engineering or similar

Skills Required:

• Working knowledge of diesel engine emissions aftertreatment systems and calibration.
  
• Proven knowledge on emissions testing of EU4/5 diesel engines and vehicles, including cDPF systems.
  

Skills Preferred:

• Working knowledge of project delivery process GPDS, GTDS.
  
• Working knowledge of quality tools Robustness & Reliability, DFMEA and DVP.
  
• Core engineering experience, with the ability to evaluate problems and propose resolutions.
  
• Working knowledge on use of MS Excel, Word, Project, Access and Matlab.
  
• Any person supplied should have a valid UK driving licence and meet the medical requirements of testing in Client’s test facilities.
  

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and project delivery of Client’s catalysed diesel particulate filter substrates
  
• Lead the development and project delivery of Client’s diesel oxidation catalyst and NOx reduction catalyst substrates
  
• Support the development and project delivery of Client’s aftertreatment system hardware
  
• Undertake functional testing of components, and computer simulation of performance in support of the above tasks
  
• Lead and collaborate with suppliers, research groups and consultants in the development of new bench test procedures and analytical / simulation tools for aftertreatment hardware in-line with GPDS principles
  
• Manage suppliers of aftertreatment substrates product development, testing, vehicle programme delivery, manufacturing process analysis and development, cost minimisation
  
• Support the ongoing aftertreatment strategy development, specifically for aftertreatment substrates
  
• Support Diesel Emissions Aftertreatment Team in delivery of vehicle programmes with vehicle and engine testing
  

Additional Information:
Must be willing to travel between Client sites primarily Gaydon & Whitley

Hours:
37 hours per week

Ltd Co Hourly Rate:
£27.72
