Our client has a requirement for staff for involvement in the introduction of a new engine project.

Engine Development Engineer – up to Principal Level

Job Status:
Permanent Staff/Contract possible.

Reporting to:
T and D Operations Manager

Qualifications:
Ideally Degree Qualified

Essential Experience :
●  Candidates must have experience of the development of either Gasoline or Diesel Engines.
●  Experience may relate to the test and development of various engine systems; e.g. fuel, charging, EGR, after-treatment, ventilation, mechanical systems etc.
●  You should also have good understanding of test equipment and a structured approach to problem solving.

Desirable Experience:
●  Understanding of test instrumentation.
●  Diesel engine performance and emissions awareness.
●  Team-working and communications skills.

Responsibilities:
Working closely with design engineers and others to ensure systems meet product requirements, the jobholder will:
●  Design, plan and organise test programmes.
●  Perform analysis and reporting of results.
●  Provide input and feedback to design team.
●  Provide technical leadership to technicians/engineers as appropriate.

Basic Hours:
39hrs / week 08:00 to 17:00 (13:00 on Fridays)

Salary/Rate:
Range, depending on seniority, £30k, up to £50k.

Overtime:
Not Paid
