Degree level in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Chemistry

Role Outline:
In order for our client to move their range of engines forward to meet more stringent (Tier 4) emissions regulations, they seek an aftertreatment specialist who possesses the relative experience, knowledge and confidence to make project critical decisions in respect of aftertreatment technologies.

Responsibilities:
This is a key role within our client’s organisation and the successful candidate, operating at Principal Engineer level, will plan projects and generate test and development plans for aftertreatment systems. There may be opportunity for a less experienced candidate at Senior Engineer level. This exciting opportunity will allow the successful candidate to lead an essential and cutting-edge project whilst developing the company’s strategy for aftertreatment.

Experience Essential:

• Candidates will have extensive knowledge of De-NOx and Particulate Filters, and a detailed understanding of aftertreatment technologies is essential.
  
• You should also have a fundamental understanding of the application restrictions for various technologies.
  

Experience Desirable:

• The ideal candidate will have proven experience in the design, specification, regeneration and calibration of diesel particulate filters and selective catalytic reduction systems. Ideally this experience will have come from an off-road vehicle or automotive background.
  
• The ability to lead a team, from an aftertreatment perspective, is essential as are strong communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a focused team to deliver solutions against tight deadlines.
  

Hours:
39hrs/week
08:00 to 17:00 (13:00 on Fridays)

Salary/Rate:
c. 45K, depending on experience, possibly more for the ideal candidate
