Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Job Status:
Permanent Staff Position

Qualifications:
First Degree in relevant discipline preferred, HNC minimum.

Experience Essential:

• Candidates are likely to be “well rounded” individuals who must have a sound grasp of electrical/control fundamentals and must have the personal drive to “make things happen” in a fast moving highly demanding environment.
  
• Significant engine system/component design experience from specification to sign off. Candidates will be expected to have a thorough understanding of the engineering reasoning behind their designs.
  
• Experience of wiring diagram/circuit design software ideally VeSys, but will consider other circuit simulation software applications, general 3D CAD system operation (Unigraphics preferable) and drawing office experience.
  

Responsibilities:
Joining a small team of highly motivated engineers in a fast moving environment with significant scope for career development, the applicant will be expected to take responsibility for:

• Engine Electrical system/component ownership in a multi project environment including possible leadership of small teams of less experienced engineers.
  
• Design for assembly and manufacture in a commercially focused environment.
  
• Supplier liaison and selection from a global base.
  
• The preparation and presentation of formal design documentation to include; specification, FMEA, change documentation, drawings and sign off reports.
  

Hours:
39hrs basic working week
08:00 to 17:00 (13:00 on Fridays)

Salary/Rate:
From £32k to £40k - dependent on experience and qualifications.
