Job Summary:

• Leading a multi-disciplined integrated product team (IPT), responsible for the development and production of Commercial Radar components and sub-systems; servicing installed and new sockets in conventional radar, and developing the new Company offering into solid-state commercial radar.
  
• Maintaining and growing the Company’s global position, supplying microwave components into commercial ground-based and airborne radar, together with the Marine radar market, and delivering a sales budget of £4.5M in FY 2008/09.
  
• The primary BU Strategy will be to find the best value supply chain for the product portfolio as well as product rationalisation.
  

Main Accountabilities:

• Ensuring Safety Health and Environment well being of site personnel and the neighbours are assured, through the application of safety policy and procedure.
  
• Delivery of the department result.
  
• Establishment of departmental objectives to deliver all agreed financial targets (e.g. publishing and managing costs, and creating cost offers for non standard enquiries).
  
• Future growth of the business area by supporting the BU and developing the area.
  
• Development of improvement plans.
  
• Performance development of direct reports.
  
• Manage relationships (customers, unions, neighbours) to ensure continuity of operations.
  

Salary/Rate:
£35,000 - £45,000

Relocation:
Assistance may be provided where appropriate.
